Mining Media International has acquired Mine & Quarry Trader (MQT) from Penton Business Media, Inc., effective immediately. Terms were not disclosed. MQT will be combined with Mining Media International’s Quarry Equipment Marketplace (QEM) to create a powerhouse distribution solution for buyers and sellers in the aggregates, mining, quarrying, recycling and related industries. MQT has enjoyed a tremendous history serving the market for the past 35 years, offering a longevity that matches the caliber of all the titles in the Mining Media International stable of industry publications. Mining Media International recognizes and respects the value of this stability as their magazines now have over 500 combined years serving the industry.

Advertisers will be reunited with old friends and long time sales representatives for both MQT and QEM, Gina Kelly and Christin Doran. They will be in contact with every advertiser in MQT to make sure that they are informed and comfortable with the transition.
